Our Story

miCover was founded by Craig & Tim whist they were both working in London over a couple of quiet beers at The Ship one afternoon. The boys decided that some things about insurance really sucked, it wasn't easy to transact, and it confusing, jargon filled and seemingly expensive, especially when a claim was denied.

They asked themselves a question "why can't I buy insurance just like I buy a pair of trainers" and set out to do just that, create an experience that allows their customers to buy insurance cover aligned to their lifestyles in the same amount of time or better that buying a pair of trainers.

Technology would be key to this journey, not only to build the process but also assist customers not only access or change their policy anytime, anywhere but also when they had a claim, resulting in a better customer experience.

Next a team would be required, and the boys put together a team of insurance people, a pricing guru and university students to help build what you see today.

The team are passionate about miCover but equally passionate about evolving miCover to create new products through their own ideas and those of their customers.

The boys work in the business every day to make sure miCover delivers what it promises, you can also find them at a bar enjoying a cold beer on a Friday afternoon thinking about the next cool insurance idea.
